 Product Description

This Woodturning Thin Parting Tool - 1/2" Tang is made from M 42 Cobalt HSS. The cutting portion is 3 1/2" inches long, has a 1/2” tang, and is tapered from 80 thousandths to 60 thousandths. The taper helps to prevent binding. The cut is very clean.

-- Recommend either a 8" or 12" handle with 1/2" receiver. Tighten set screws into thin side of tang. --

    I love this parting tool. It's no-bind design is genius! Started using it 10 minutes after it was delivered. I turn a lot of pocket watches and pendant watches, an was always burning my other parting tool. Since this has arrived, I have relegated the old parting tool to the "back up" drawer.

    This is just one of several D-Way Tools in my arsenal, and like all the others, Dave designs them well and does a superb job of manufacturing. Love the tapered shaft.
