 Product Description

Double Ended 3/8" Spindle Gouge - 8" long with shaft size .390

Use the 3/8" Spindle Detail Gouge on spindle work for detail. When ground with a steep angle it will get into tighter places. A go-to tool for turning finials.

All our flutes are individually inspected and hand polished to remove all machine marks. This extra step assures the sharpest cutting edge possible. They are shipped sharp. 

-- Recommend either the 8" or 12" handle.  You now have a choice of handle receiver sizes: 1/2" receiver & 1/2" to 3/8" reducer bushings for handle versatility OR 3/8" receiver for dedicated use with 3/8"/.390 sized tools.

  1. Razor-Sharp and Ready to Work — A Versatile Spindle Gouge

    This double-ended Spindle Gouge arrived razor-sharp and feels great in the 12" handle. The dual ends are a real time-saver—when one side dulls, I can just flip it and keep working. I ground one end to 25° and the other to 35° for added versatility, and so far, that setup is working well.

    My only suggestion: I’d love to see this tool offered in a longer version for longer life and extended reach.
