 Product Description

The Original 5/8" Double-ended Straight sided, Flat-bottom Box Tool - 1/4" x 5/8" x 10" long.

Negative Rake Side Cutter on one end, Flat Bottom Cutter on the other end. 

     This is THE tool for those who want to make straight sided - flat bottom boxes, or nested boxes. The long, angled end cuts cleanly down the inside & outside surfaces. The flat end cuts the bottom. The corners are slightly rounded to prevent any catches where the inside angles meet the bottom.

20* top angle and 70* bottom. Negative Rake scrapers are a must if you are turning plastic, acrylics, or dense hardwoods.

-- Recommend either an 8" or 12" handle, depending on projects or personal preference. --

    As a new woodturner, finding the correct tools while learning is a challenge. I find as much information as possible before committing to any purchase. The big discovery here is D-Way tools and I have become fully committed to them as my choice in lathe tools. The 5/8" Double-ended Box Tool has become a favorite. It's easy to use and makes learning a pleasure Makes me think I"m better than I really am. Thanks Jimmie.

    Great scraper. Once again awesome steel. Can contact wood 2x's as with my other scrapers.

    This tool is amazing. Once you turn the lathe RPM up to 3500 or more it cuts so smooth. You still have sand but only a little bit. Box Master and negative rake tools have made it so easy for me and Jimmie has been a real help.
