Product Description
You asked for it - so we brought it back...Traditional "old school" Parting Tool.
This Standard Woodturning Parting Tool is made from M42 HSS (Cobalt) and has a 1/2" Tang.
It is a thicker version of our simple, economy based 1/8" tool - with a wider cut. Easy to use and sharpen. The cut is very clean and it is a great tool for Sizing Tenons, Beads, Coves, etc.
Each end is 90 degrees square to the side, so the tool goes straight in and doesn't tilt. ~ Jimmie
-- Recommend either the 8" or 12" handle with a 1/2" receiver. Tighten set screws into thin side of tang. --

Great multi-use parting tool

I own several other 1/4" parting tools, but this one arrived sharp. It was almost immediately put to use creating tenons as well as use as a roughing gouge for small blanks. Remains sharp longer than other tools I own.

Like the full 1/4 cutting edge for finessing the final shape of a 3/4 radius on production work. In an 8” handle this stout little tool is nimble, well balanced, easy to control and maintains a superior edge. Another great D-Way tool for the collection, thanks for making it available.

Bought this tool specifically to use like a skew to refine a 3/4” radius on repetitive production work. Used it today for the first time and it performed flawlessly. Another welcome addition to my extensive collection of D-Way tools. Thanks for bringing it back.
