This Wood Turning 1/4" Beading Tool is used with the flute down which lets it be used in a shear cutting way. Sizes are bead size. Can be used on faceplate or spindle work.
-- Recommend the 8" handles & quick change knobs for all of our Beading tools and Diamond tool. You now have a choice of handle receiver sizes: 1/2" receiver & 1/2" to 3/8" reducer bushings for handle versatility OR 3/8" receiver for dedicated use with 3/8"/.390 sized tools. See below for beading tool shaft sizes.
Note: Light touch is all that is needed; longer handles interfere with the bed of lathe.
Price does not include handles, handles are sold separately. Want to add more handles? Click here >>>

I purchased two beading tools at SWAT this year. A 1/16 and a 1/8 tool. After using these I had to buy the 1/4 inch beading tool. With these any body can make perfect beads right from the start. Excellent tools.

The flute is polished smooth and delivers a flawless bead. I bought this for one purpose and that was to make the brim on my snowmen hats. It is fantastic.

The 1/4" beading tool allows me to place a bead with precision, in addition it allows for creation of beads that are rounded equally on both sides. Tool facilitates bead creation much easier and faster.
