This Set of 6 Wood Turning Beading Tools are used with the flute down which enables them to be used in a shear cutting manner. Can be used on face plate or spindle work.
-- Includes Beading Tool sizes: 1/16", 3/32", 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", 3/8". Sizes are bead size.
-- If you would like to replace any of the beading tools with another size or the Diamond Tool, just add a note to your order.
-- Light touch is all that is needed, longer handles interfere with the bed of lathe.
-- Recommend the 8" handles with 1/2" receiver, 1/2" to 3/8" bushings, & quick change knobs for our Beading tool sets.
Note: 3/8" receiver handles are now available if you are substituting out the 3/8" beading tool with a .515 diameter and planning to use only with the .390 diameter sized tools. See below for beading tool diameters.
Price does not include handles, which are sold separately. Want to add more handles? Click here >>>

I recently purchased the 6 tool beading tool set to turn a set of chessmen with dozens of small beads of various sizes. After watching the videos here I tried a couple of test pieces in poplar. It is not the ideal wood for scraping and I thought if I could get good beads in poplar then when I turned the chessmen (maple and walnut) I should get good results. Well, the results were good in the poplar and great in the maple and walnut. Made the whole project easy and ultimately led me to purchase other tools here which more than met my expectations. I am slowly replacing many of my cheaper turning tools with D-Way Tools and have been impressed with every one I have purchased. I plan to always start my search for new tools here as they are exceptional tools, come pre-sharpened (yes, I know how to sharpen) and stay sharp. Thank you D-Way for making such nice tools available at a fair price.

I purchased the 6 piece set. I substituted the diamond/teardrop parting tool for the smallest bead. Love these tools. They make beading nearly fool proof. If you want to add flawless bead, these are the tools to get. Easy to space and bunch one bead against the other with perfect spacing. The teardrop tool is my go-to for fine touch ups and details without having to worry about a catch.
