Straight Spear Point Negative Rake Scraper - 3/4" x 9/32 x 9" - 1/2" Tang.
It may look intimidating, but with the negative rake - this will soon become one of your favorite tools.
The 3/4 inch is a very versatile and good for a wide variety of small to medium woodturning projects. Much more user friendly to use than a standard scraper, and hard to get a catch with.
This scraper is great for detail work and finishing the outside of bowls. Best tool out there for refining at outside curve.
Works for getting in close to chucks and performing detail work on your piece. We are sure you will find many uses for this tool.
20* top angle and 70* bottom. Negative Rake scrapers are a must for finishing wood, turning plastic, acrylics, or dense hardwoods.
-- Fits all our Handles with 1/2" receiver. No Bushing required. --

This is a great tool as are all the tools I have purchased from D-Way tools. Finely crafted for years of service.

I used this tool with the thought, do I really need another tool? The answer was yes, there is a spot on the usable tool shelf for this pointed sheer scraper - it goes and does what no other will do.
Thank you and keep up the good work.

I have only recently started working with negative rake scrapers, and I've come to really enjoy using them. I started with the large round nose, and then I got this spear point so that I could get into the tighter corners and also the straighter sections of my turnings. I will continue to add to my collection in time with some of the other options that D-way offers.
I have been experimenting with diamond honing and carbide burnishing a burr, but I have also had reasonable results straight off the 600 grit CBN wheel. I often just do a quick touch up on the CBN wheel when I am in the middle of turning, and then I do the diamond hone and carbide burnish before putting away the scrapers.
