Product Description
Our Small Woodturning Skew - 9/32” x 3/4” x 9" - 1/2" Tang is made from the same M42 cobalt HSS. (formerly medium skew)
We offer three additional sizes: the large skew at 3/8” x 1-5/16” x 9" with a tang that fits a 5/8” handle receiver; medium at 9/32" x 3/4" x 9" with a tang that fits a 1/2” receiver; and the detail skew at 1/4" x 1/2" x 8" with a tang that fits 1/2" receivers. All are radiused on the heel-edge of the shank to slide easily across the toolrest. The long point edge is machined flat. The short point edge has a machine radius to facilitate rolling beads. All sharp edges on the length of the shank have been softened. The skew's bevels have been pre-sharpened and polished to a mirror finish - ready to make shavings.
Great tool for roughting out spindle work and beautiful clean cuts.

I use the skew for everything. Easy to use with nice geometry. Love the feel of taking nice cuts with curly shavings. No dust to clean.

This is a beautifully made skew. As always it came sharp and ready to use. I have been using it to rough out Indian rosewood blanks that are dry and tough as nails and the skew peels it as if it were going through butter, leaving a finish which needs little to no sanding. Thanks again for a tool that makes my job a joy to do.
