Round Nose Negative Rake Scraper 1-5/16" x 3/8"-5/8" Tang.
This Round Nose Negative Rake Scraper is a beast - yet much more user friendly to use than standard scrapers. Great for removing material and finishing cuts.
What makes the round nose different is that you can use both sides of the tool. The long radius excels at refining an outside curve. Can also be used on inside curves. The bottom edges of the tool are eased to facilitate using on the side as a shear scraper.
The weight & heft of this tool gives you ultimate control!
20* top angle and 70* bottom. Negative Rake scrapers are a must if you are turning plastic, acrylics, or dense hardwoods.
-- Recommend either a 12" or 16" handle dependent on project or personal preference. --

The round nose scraper works exceptionally well. It has enough weight to make it easy to steady when scraping a bowl and it holds an edge well. Good balance also! What more could you want? Thanks D-Way!

This scrapper, like every other tool I have bought from D-Way, is 1st class. It sharpens quick and easy, holds an edge well, and makes short work out of the finishing cuts on my segmented bowls.
If you need a large round nose scrappers, this is the best you can buy.

This is a beautifully made and extremely useful scraper. It has become one of my favorite wood turning tools.

I purchased this about 6 weeks ago and have been using it a lot. This has become my favorite turning tool.
When I was thinking about buying one I watched the video where Jimmie was turning with one and I couldn't hardly believe the way it cut.
Well, this thing makes piles of shavings, it is a scraper but it doesn't make dust - it makes long ribbons and holds an edge longer than you would believe possible!

At first glance I didn't think I would like the pointy round nose profile but the first time I used it on a large walnut bowl I was sold! With this scraper I was able to get into the transition area with ease and a fine result. The heft of the tool is such an advantage also. It's a highly prized plus that the steel holds an edge for longer than any of my other tools. When I'm in need of gouges I'm calling D-Way!
