 Product Description

 Curved Negative Rake Scraper - 1" x 5/16" x 9 - 5/8" Tang.

The one inch NR Scraper is our medium sized tool. It is very versatile and works on all woodturnings - small to large. Much more user friendly than a standard scraper and hard to get a catch with. Long radius excels at refining the shape.


20* top angle and 70* bottom. Negative Rake scrapers are a must for finishing wood, and turning plastic, acrylics, or dense hardwoods.

    I am up in years, 82, and have had serious health problem for last 5 yrs and have decided to start up again on a hobby I enjoyed for 40 yrs. I came on D-Way and Boxmaster and ordered several tools from them. I can honestly say that if this line had been available to me back when I started all my tools would be from this business. The tools are of excellent quality and the handles are the best I have ever seen. I would recommend them to anyone. I also have learned from the videos.

    Great tool for me when doing final pass finish on the inside bowl bottom and when making the tenon on bottom. Wish I would have purchased it a long time ago.

  5. smooth cutting hardwoods, less for spalted

    Fine shavings while cutting several types of hardwoods. Easy to hone. But not as clean cutting for spalted maple as my reliable 35° scraper. Curious how it would cut if reground as 35° top and bottom. Appreciate the accompanying Set-up gauge to set the correct angles for grinding the original bevels. Fine tool!

    This is extremely well made tool which is now my go-to tool for finish cuts on the inside of my bowls.

    Easy to see that it is a tool of superb quality. The 1" x 5/16" provides enough mass that makes it easy to control. I was able to clean up the final cuts that yielded a turning that required minimal sanding. Fantastic addition to my toolkit.
