1. I love this gouge!

   I have recently begun making small bowls, less than 6" in diameter. I needed a small gouge and this one is a joy to turn with. I bought the 12" handle and glad I did and recommend it for you. The longer handle enables me to hold the gouge in the same manner as I do larger ones. This cuts beautifully as all D-Way tools do.

   My line-up of tools used in wood-turning is predominantly D-Way.
   
   The difference in the quality of these tools compared to the "starter" set purchased several years ago off Amazon is like night and day. The cutting ability, edge retention of the steel, and ease of use swapping out different gouges with the same handle has improved my productivity remarkably so.
   
   My most recent tool purchased, the smaller 3/8" bowl gouge, is enabling me to cut and finish finials to hanging ornaments with more precise detail to them than previous efforts.
   
   These have always been a good investment for me.

   I don't normally write reviews but I felt this was worth the time. I have 2 gouges now and love them. It's a whole new level of tool! They have truly helped me improve my turning. Thanks to everyone at D-Way!

7. 3/8" bowl gouge

   Bought this gouge to do finish cuts on smaller scale work. Reshaped the business end to my liking and put it to work. Like all my other D-Way tools, the steel takes and holds a very sharp edge. Couldn't be happier, another great tool for my collection and would highly recommend to anyone that wants the best.

   I had already purchased the roughing gouge and the spindle gouge. They worked so well just had to get the bowl gouge. It is a great product just like the others.

   I am a D-Way fan. I have several of Dave's tools and D-Way is always at the top of the list when I am thinking about buying a new tool. I use this little bowl gouge for finer work (the gouge is a lot finer than I am). All of Dave's tools come razor sharp and with plastic tip guards. They are well-packaged. The delivery service may crush/mangle the box, but the tools inside are snug and safe.

10. Another excellent product from D-Way

    Unwrapped the tool made the mistake for running finger across it and found out that it really was delivered sharp and ready to use. You've gotta love that. Started turning with it and really didn't want to put it down. Everything from the handle to the bushing to the gouge itself was unbelievably nice to work with and it all fit together so well. Great to see that we really can get great made products in America.
