Round Nose - 3/4" x 9/32" x 9" - 1/2" Tang.
This Round Nose Negative Rake Scraper will not only remove material, it is also an excellent finishing scraper...working in either direction from headstock to tailstock or the opposite direction.
What makes the round nose different is that you can use both sides of the tool. The long radius excels at refining an outside curve. Can also be used on inside curves. The bottom edges of the tool are eased to facilitate using on the side as a shear scraper.
A great tool for use on inside of boxes, small bowls, and other turnings.
20* top angle and 70* bottom. Negative Rake scrapers are a must if you are turning plastic, acrylics, or dense hard woods.
Recommend either an 8" or 12" handle, depending on project or personal preference.

Good Tool
Have bought a number of D-Way tools before, so I'm a repeat offender. This is my 4th time out. I'm very pleased with the negative rake scrapers since they provide a very clean cut leaving me with a smooth surface. This is especially the case with the inside sidewalls of my bowls and platters. It took me a while to learn how to effectively handle these tools but finally learned how to slightly angle and rotate to hit a sweet spot. I own and have used the curved & round-nosed. Now I am into learning effective sharpening techniques. I recommend these tools hands down & I'll be back to finish off my collection.

Jimmie suggested I try his negative rake scrapers months ago. I just sorta blew it off because I just didn't see the need. Big mistake. I found out after I used my first one, I had to add this little round nosed one. They clean up the bowls and platters better than anything besides sandpaper and are a lot faster. Super easy to sharpen too if you use his method and platforms.

I am loving this NR scraper. It holds its burr well, and gets into tight space that none of my other scrapers get to easily. I highly recommend!

In my opinion, this is absolutely the best round nose scraper available for getting into small turned bowls, boxes, etc. It provides a great clean and smooth finishing cut for the bottom of your turnings.

I am very impressed with the quality and balance of these tools. As soon as I pick them up I can feel the quality and perfection that went into making these tools. It is easy to use, easy to sharpen and holds a edge longer than others I have used

An unexpected surprise, this little tool filled a gap in my arsenal that I didn't realize was needed. Tried it for the first time on the interior of a 6" dry maple burl deep umeke. It left a very refined surface that is far superior to the conventional scraper I have been using for years. This is my new secret weapon for small scale closed form work. Looking forward to exploring it to it's full potential. Another great D-Way tool for the collection.
