Round Nose Negative Rake Scraper - 1" x 5/16" - 5/8" Tang.
These Round nose Negative Rake Scraper not only remove material quickly, they are also excellent finishing scrapers. Much more user friendly to use than standard scraper - hard to get a catch with.
What makes the round nose different is that you can use both sides of the tool. The long radius excels at refining an outside curve. Can also be used on inside curves. The bottom edges of the tool are eased to facilitate using on the side as a shear scraper.
A great tool for use on inside of larger boxes, medium sized bowls, and other turnings.
20* top angle and 70* bottom. Negative Rake scrapers are a must if you are turning plastic, acrylics, or dense hardwoods.

Great for the inside of bowls

Works much better than my standard scraper to smooth out the inside of my bowls.

This scraper has completely changed the way I smooth the inside of wood plates. I was having problems with tear out on the curved inside edges of wood plates, so I asked Jimmie to please recommend a scraper that might help me. This one solves the problem by shaving the areas, leaving very little if any sanding to do. Thank you, Jimmie!

Why did I wait so long

Been thinking for some time about adding some negative rake scrapers to my arsenal, should have got into this long ago. Particularly handy for working inside the bowl on end grain and face grain, shear and gentle cuts leave a finish needing less sanding, even on squirrelly, burly pieces. Cuts fine and clean, like butter! Highly recommended
