1. Great tools

   I have numerous tools from D-way, all of them are worth the extra as they hold an edge really well.
   
   I really like taper of this parting tool. It makes a small cut but doesn't sacrifice function as it has almost no chatter.

   I have only used this tool a short time but it is quickly becoming my go-to parting tool. I am making inserts for the top of my boxes and this tool does the job better than anything I have. OUTSTANDING!

   Bought this parting tool specifically to turn lidded boxes. The tool design and M42 steel is superior to the traditional 1/16" parting tool I've been using for many years. The extra .020 thickness is neglegable for grain alignment yet adds noticeably to the rigidity in use. Matched up with Daves 12" handle it's a great tool that should last a lifetime. Highly recommend to anyone that wants the best.

   This parting tool is a lot better than the diamond shaped ones I have been using. Really good design and of course the quality is nothing less than top notch. I love this for making small boxes...VERY sharp and precise.

6. Parting tools can be difficult

   This is a great parting tool!!
   I have bought two or three different parters and as a beginner
   I couldn’t get them sharpened correctly. This one is easy to touch up the tip with a hand hone and I finally have a superb parting tool.

   The best I have ever used. Even a novice like me can make clean professional looking cuts with this tool in the hardest of woods.

   I was intrigued when I first viewed this, Dave doesn't make any bad tools but I wondered how everyone else had designed their parting tools so differently. It turned out they are all wrong and once again Dave is right in every way.
   Apart from being made of the M42 steel which holds a fantastic edge, this tool cuts cleanly with no burn or tightening up. Every cut is so crisp and easy to carry out. I am almost tempted to just part things off for pure enjoyment now. I had 4 parting tools, now I will only be using one.
   Did I forget to say how comfortable and adaptable this is with Dave's handles? Yes, well it is, comfortable balanced and a joy to use.

10. Remarkable Quality of Cut

    This is an excellent addition to your tool arsenal. The precision of the machining is great. Getting a 1/8" cut and still providing thinner easing on the back is amazing. Super clean cuts. Of course, the quality of the steel in all Dave's tools contributes to the strength and sharpness.
    
    The thin cut on this tool is a big advantage on small turnings and on boxes where I want to keep the grain pattern across the body and lid. I'm not sure I'll have reason to go back to my older Parting Tools.
