This 360 grit CBN Radius Wheel is of the highest quality. Been using this 360 grit wheel for my gouges and a 180 grit for my negative rake scrapers with great results. D-Way's service is great too.

I had unfortunately purchased a pair of CBN wheels from fellow at Woodturners Wonders...BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!!!! I should’ve followed my gut and gone with the D-Way wheels from the beginning. Good wheels aren’t cheap, and cheap wheels aren’t good!!! As soon as I received my D-Way wheel I mounted it and began sharpening all my bowl gouges and scrapers and GOOD LORD ARE THEY SHARP!!! These wheels are worth every single penny!!!! Don’t be fooled by the cheaper guys wheels, they’re junk!!! Buy D-Way and see for yourself; you will not be disappointed!!

I’m a novice turner learning how to use and sharpen my tools. Using Dave’s CBN wheel for the last 10 days I’ve improved my sharpening techniques; my tools are sharper, I’ve almost eliminated over heating a tool during sharpening and I’m not dealing with dressing and adjusting the balance of the old wheel.

Wheel is as described, and provides a consistent edge to my tools. Exactly what I was after.Anything that can make sharpening require less thought and effort is worth my investment. Now I'm thinking of getting a second wheel...

I bought this about a month ago and since have sharpened every turning tool I own. At first I was hesitant to spend this much money but it is worth every penny. Finally found a great way to sharpen hollowing tools. Thanks David Ellsworth for suggesting and D-way for producing this tool!!!!

Very happy with my order, spoke to Dave himself to check it was OK to pay for shipping to Canada. Excellent customer service, well packaged and quick delivery.
Thanks very much D-Way Tools

These wheels seem to automatically balance a lo-cost grinder and make it a pleasure to use. An added bonus is they sing! Plus D-Way ships immediately!...What a treat.

I've only been playing with the lathe for a year or so, but I've learned that sharp tools are critical and make turning more fun. These wheels work wonderfully and I've found it takes me much longer to grind my D-way gouges down to nubs...gotta spend more time watching Dave's videos. We use a D-way CBN wheel at the Illiana turning club where it gets a heavy workout by all members and it performs beautifully. Everyone loves it. Great product, great support from D-way. Thanks.

I’m a happy owner of the 180 grit wheel and will order now a rougher grit for rough shaping. I’m going to order the 80 grit as I have the 180 grit. Here’s why I’m doing this.
Yesterday, was working away at the lathe going back and forth to the 180 CBN wheel to touch up my gouges. Love the way it sharpens. I needed to switch tools, therefore adjust the plate rest angle, a Wolverine rest. I left the grinder running…big mistake. When I loosened the handle on the rest it flopped down and jammed in the CBN wheel between it and the part of the wheel housing…BANG! Once I’d turned off the grinder and my heart calmed down I saw that the wheels could be turned independently. Oh damn, I broke the shaft. This morning I found out that the tightening nut on one side or the other, I think the CBN side, loosened allowing independent turning. Whew. Grinder appears to be OK today after taking both wheels off, inspecting, verifying the shaft runs OK, motor runs OK, wheels run OK after reinstall.
So, why order and replace the other wheel? Had I jammed the oxide wheel, it could have come apart in my face is my guess, causing some pain and injury. I was not wearing a face shield as I don’t with the CBN wheel. I will no longer use an oxide wheel. So, thanks for your product. A good lesson for me on safety around machinery.

Recommended by a retired lung surgeon friend who touted the safety of using CBN vs regular oxide wheels, I bit the bullet and ordered it. But only after receiving a personal note from the owner as to what bushing to order for my grinder. The wheel and bushing arrived the next week. I installed it without a hitch per the instructions. AND, I love the way it sharpens! Now to save up and get the 80 grit for the other side of the grinder.
