  1. Simply the Best

Posted by Doug Schneiter on Mar 13th 2019

I have been using the D-Way beading tools for several years, and find that with proper technique, they can form great beads in many different types of wood. I recommend these tools when I am doing demos and workshops, for my students who want to use the best tool for the job.

  2. Excellent beading tools!

Posted by John Rander on Feb 27th 2019

I purchased the 1/8” and 3/16” beading tools. These work well right from the start, with a very short learning curve (after watching Dave’s video). They produce perfectly uniform beads. Even my practice pieces look great. Purchased these based on forum discussions and basket illusion videos. I’m very pleased with this purchase. The tools arrived razor sharp here in France in less than ten calendar days. Thanks Dave!

  3. Best beading tools

Posted by John D from NH on Jan 20th 2019

Just purchased the last two to complete the set. Matched up with the 8" handles these are the very best beading tools available. With proper care they will last a lifetime. Highly recommend to anyone that wants the best.

  4. Finally, good beads (and with ease) ! ! !

Posted by Ron Ashford Dannevirke, New Zealand on Aug 30th 2018

I saw some very interesting beadwork done by experienced turners and wanted to have a go. I friend here in New Zealand told me about D-Way Tools and after comparing them to other brands, I decided to give them a go. The quality of the metal and machining is superb. You are best to carefully watch all of Dave's videos as these tools are used in a unique way. They need to be very sharp, used with the tool rest raised about 3/4" and cut with very light pressure. Basically they are "shaped scrappers". Layout of the beads is effortless. The Diamond tool is great for bead detail and other similar work. This review applies for the tools I bought: 1/2, 3/8, 3/16 and Diamond point.

  5. Excellent tools

Posted by James on Aug 16th 2018

These tools work very well. I was surprised at how smooth a surface they left even on some figured maple.

  6. Just Had to Complete my Set!

Posted by Mark A. Zellner on Jul 27th 2018

Over the last couple of years I’ve picked up a few DWay beading tools at a time. I am so happy with how well they work that I’m always reaching for them. It seems I was looking for the size I didn’t have though. Received the last two earlier this week and have already used them on the base of red mulberry salad bowl. They’re sharp, creates consistent size beads and encourages confident creativity Thanks Dave for the fast service and quality tools.

  7. Just ordered 2 more

Posted by Tom on Jun 25th 2018

I ordered 2 of D-Way's beading tools and was so impressed with them and the possibilities they create I just ordered 2 more different sizes. The quality and craftsmanship are excellent. I don't know what else I could add other than I gave them a 5 star rating, something I very rarely do as I feel it is hard for anything to be that good but these are a close as it gets!

  8. Even a novice can use them

Posted by Dave on May 21st 2018

I'm a novice turner but even I was able to turn perfect beads after only a couple of practice tries.

  9. Beading tools

Posted by Greg McClurg on Apr 29th 2018

I had purchased a 1/8" beading tool a couple years ago and used it occasionally. I recently purchased 4 additional beading tools because I needed some different sizes for a couple products. These are extremely easy and fast to use. Once you use one you will want multiple sizes so you might as well order them all at once and save a few dollars.

  10. Quality

Posted by Jim Paliani on Feb 2nd 2018

Purchased these after attending a beading demonstration. Quality product.
Dave is a pleasure to work with. Arrived 2 days after I placed the order !
Well packaged. Extremely sharp and touchup is easy.
Well worth the money. Should last for years.
