Product Description
This Wood Turning 3/16" Beading Tool is used with the flute down and that lets it to be used in a shear cutting way. Sizes are bead size. Can be used on faceplate or spindle work.
-- Recommend the 8" handles & quick change knobs for all of our Beading tools and Diamond tool. You now have a choice of handle receiver sizes: 1/2" receiver & 1/2" to 3/8" reducer bushings for handle versatility OR 3/8" receiver for dedicated use with 3/8"/.390 sized tools. See below for beading tool shaft sizes.
Note: Light touch is all that is needed; longer handles interfere with the bed of lathe.

Bought to go with the 1/8" beading tool. They are excellent in every way. Easy to sharpen, steel keeps a fine edge.

I watched the YouTube videos and decided to order the 3/16" Beading tool. Work great right out of box, unedited without handle to bead the wood handle I made for it. Had a few small bowls that were just plain looking and had hard time selling, but after beading and wood burning lines, they would sell for 3 times as much, now I can sell some small bowls an make good profit. Great tool.

These are by far the best tools for beading. They are easy to use and leave a smooth surface that is ready for finish.
I also find that the tools stay sharper than the other beading tools I have tried.

Easy beads

Saw a demo of this tool at club meeting. Just got mine, and tried it out yesterday on a red oak platter. This wood can be very chippy, but the beads were easy and beautiful. Just like in the YouTube videos.
Nicely made. Looks like it should be easy to sharpen. A 10mm bit is just about right for drilling a handle.

This 3/16" beading tool worked exactly as it should right from the package. I was cutting perfect beads from the very first try. I even started out on a bowl that I had been working on for several days and was thrilled with the final product. I recently purchased a 3/16 beading tool after it was recommended by a youtube turner. I can't believe how good this tool works. I made a couple of practice beads and then right to my work piece with no problems, easy to use. Nice crisp beads every time. I would recommend this tool to anyone. Thank you D-Way tools.
