1. 5/8" Bottom Feeder Bowl Gouge

   I love using this tool! My mentor suggested I try using the bottom feeder to turn an entire madrone bowl as an exercise in control and technique. I am not disappointed! As usual, D-Way tools maintain their edge much longer than the other "name brand" tools I own, they're weighty but not unwieldy, and I really like being able to removed the tool steel from the handle in order to grind the tool! Near perfection with the tool and my new bowl gouge will be getting a 1/2 brother or two real soon!

   For cleaning up the bottom of a piece this is amazing. Holds an edge on even the hardest woods. Beefy, sturdy yet doesn't dampen the feel of the work. I just love all D-Way tools. They are always my first choice when reaching for a tool.

   I've used D-Way Tools for a while after a friend of mine recommended them and absolutely love everything about them! Super high quality steel that holds and edge and stays sharp longer than any of my other tools in the shop. Highly recommend!

   Consulted with Jimmie and followed his recommendation. He's never steered me wrong. Perhaps most importantly, he walked me through sharpening this and the 5/8 bowl gouge to keep them in their factory-new condition.

5. Best steel available

   I use D-Way tools when I can. They have always held a sharp edge much longer than other tools, and don't cost any more than other quality tools. Less frequent sharpening also allows them to last longer - so they save money in the long run.

   Tool arrived very sharp and cut great. This 5/8" bottom feeder is a quality product that stays sharp. With the substantial handle it cuts predictably and yields a very clean cut.

7. beautiful tool

   I finished making my handle for the 5/8" Bottom Feeder. It is a beautiful looking tool, I used it yesterday to finish the bottom on an 18 inch bowl. It really did a good job taking all of the tool marks out and made a level bottom. It makes a nice fine cut and gave me a lot more confidence as I cleaned up the bowl. The tool seems to keep its edge very well, even longer than my Crown Cryogenic bowl gouge, I think.

10. Ideal for bottom cutting of vase!

    I was looking for a suitable gouge to shred the bottom of the vase.
    In order to use it attached to multi-handles, there is also a length and it reaches the bottom.
    I use the blade shoulder a little rounded, so I can cut it more safely.
